- 6 votes, average: 3.67 out of 5 Loading ...EMagLive.com has received multiple reports over the last few days from sources who wish to remain anonymous that Microsoft is making a largely successful bid for two of the PlayStation 3’s most anticipated third-party exclusives: Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
The reports of Final Fantasy Versus XIII heading to the 360 have been circulating for nearly the last month after it was revealed that at least parts of the White Engine were being ported to Microsoft’s console. Speaking to EMagLive we were told by a source close to Microsoft that the Redmond company was in productive discussions with the Japanese developer Square Enix to “at least get [Final Fantasy 13] as a timed multiplatform and at most get the game as a simultaneous release”.
We learned that Square Enix was apparently asking for a large monetary compensation for the port, while Microsoft maintained that they did not want to pay for the cost of PlayStation 3 development on the title. Despite the difference of opinion it appears that the two companies are close to reaching an agreement that will bring the blockbuster RPG to the 360.
We contacted Square Enix for comment, but the company maintained that they had no news to announce stating “at this time, there is nothing announced toward a Cross Platform Final Fantasy game, other then Final Fantasy XI and The Last Remnant. This is not to say it will never happen … decisions to develop additional games for the XBox 360 will ultimately be made by Square Enix and Microsoft.”

New Final Fantasy XIII And Versus XIII Info

- 5 votes, average: 4.8 out of 5 Loading ...Kudos to Maiki for scanning a snippet from the latest issue of Famitsu, today we can reveal some information regarding Final fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
The city inside of Cocoon was shown in the new trailer at this years TGS.
The new FF13 girl is quite different than other girls in the series so it’s hard to get her into balance.
Nomura said the latest Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer finally caught up to the original image he had always wanted to go with. Two new characters even showed up but everything might be reset by the end of the year. The main character’s design has always been a temporary design anyway so his real self will be revealed sometime next year.
The plains and towns are following the image of Italy. The text that showed up in the trailer was also Italian.
For now Agito 13 looks pretty tame compared to the main 13 and Versus 13 but a bigger revelation will be done next year.
So some interesting info here, what seems to be most interesting here is how the design of the main character from Versus XIII will develop over the course of the next year.
Nomura confirms FFXIII and Versus as PS3 Exclusive or does he?

Nomura was never involved in the creation of any Final Fantasy title as deeply he is right now, and he likes the fact he can take Final Fantasy Versus XIII where he wants it to be.
Nomura says the PlayStation 3 hardware plays a huge part in the development of both projects, and by using it “all visions can come true”. He says that visual-wise both Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are superior from any former title in the franchise, and they are “close to perfection”.
As in any interview, Nomura was asked about the game’s exclusivity. This time he mentioned that the TGS 2007 trailers had the writing “for PlayStation 3 ONLY”. He says it’s an advantage for one team to concentrate on one console, even if some fans are disappointed.

An Insight Into The New FF13 Characters!

- 5 votes, average: 4.4 out of 5 Loading ...A lucky viewer of the FF13 Trailer shown at TGS this year, Maiki has sketched some rough ideas of how the characters are to look. We are lucky enough to have sketches from both Versus and XIII itself. The girl sketched from Final Fantasy XIII is said to wear beautiful accessories around her neck, but the artists does state however that the clothes are a bit faded in his memory, so may not be 100% accurate! A female character is sketched also set for a Versus appearance, but nothing much is said of her, also a new Versus male character is described to look like a mixture between Roxas and Zexion, he carries a shotgun, and is likely to fight alongside the character we have all already grown to love.
