The trailer begins with the words “The world was created twelve times… now the thirteenth has begun!” We then cut to the Warriors of Light and Garland from Final Fantasy 1 appear, as well as fan-favourite Sephiroth featuring. The scenes with Zidane and Kuja from the Square-Enix Party trailer are shown in an extended form, and we move onto the next scene.

New characters are revealed: Firion from Final Fantasy 2, and the well-known Final Fantasy 8 protagonist, Squall, are now confirmed as playable characters, along with all the previously mentioned cast. The trailer then shows a quick glimpse of another battle, and promptly ends. Here are the confirmed characters so far…
