Dirge Of Cerberus is one of the many sequals to the classic Final Fantasy VII, alongside Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Final Fantasy VII: Before Crisis and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core.
Dirge Of Cerberus sets you as Vincent Valentine, as the leading role this time around. The game takes place three years after the events of the original game, one year after the events also in Final Fantays VII: Advent Children. Dirge Of Cerberus starts off with the Deep Ground Soldiers attacking the Kalm in the middle of the Revival Festival, in what seems to be them in search of Vincent.
Reeve Tuesti, the former Head of Urban Development at Shin-Ra and also controller of Cait Sith is now the leader of the World Restoration Organization, basically protecting the planet from any further damage. Barret and Tifa are also heavily involved in the World Restoration Organization, so there still up to there old tricks of trying to save the planet.
The Deep Ground Soldiers, otherwise know as DGS, were a secret project that Shin-Ra was developing throughout the events of Final Fantasy VII, however the DGS were trapped under Midgar after the Meteor struck |
