| Final Fantasy VIII Ultimecia Guide |
Welcome to Spiras Destiny's guide to defeating Ultimecia, this is only a boss faq, a full Ultimecia Castle walkthrough will soon be available.
When in the Castle, head into the Clock Tower and jump onto the bell. Travel up the remaining path to the top until you reach a crossroad. Take the south path. Run across the hands of the clock face and go down the ladder. You will come to a bridge which shall take you directly to where Ultimecia resides.
The thing about this battle is, in the beginning, characters are chosen at random when you first start, besides Squall. You may end up with a character you never used and is weak, but if you're in luck, all 3 of your best trained characters will be selected. Now in these strategies, I'm assuming you have upgraded all characters (if not, at least Squall, Irvine or Zell) weapons to their final stage.

| Battle 1: Ultimecia |
HP: 43 000+
Weakness: Poison
Draw: Haste, Slow, Reflect, Demi
Before you start attacking, make sure your happy with your characters who have been randomly chosen, kill off anyone you dont want to use, as this batte is the safest time to do so, make sure your 3 chosen characters are on good levels and have good stats with Guardian Forces on already too. Ultimecia uses Maelstrom, which will do about 6000 damage to whole party - use a Megalixir after each one to aviod any real danger. Ultimecia also casts Holy and Bio. Start off by casting Meltdown on Ultimecia - then, cast Aura on Squall and use Renzokuken often. Always keep your physically weakest character as your healer - to use a Megalixir after every strong attack.

| Battle 2: GF Griever |
HP: 120 000+
Weakness: None
Draw: Bio, Quake, Tornado
Griever is the ultimate Guardian Force, the indentation on Squalls ring and Gunblade. start off by casting Meltdown on Griever and the use Aura on your two strongest characters (Squall or Zell i reccomend). Use Renzokuken and Zells combo of Booyah and Punch Rush. Griever's , physical attacks are weak, and he often cast's Holy. Griever has one ultimate Spell - Shockwave Pulsar, which does 6000-7000 damage to each character. He also casts Gravija and Doom. Griever can also remove a set of 100 Spells that a single character has.

| Battle 3: Ultimecia/Griever (Merged) |
HP: 180,000 +
Weakness: None
Draw: Firaga, Thundaga, Blizzaga
Ultimecia now juntions herself with Griever to create an ultimate form of the merged pair, but this is basically just Griever with more HP. Ultimecia/Griever does have stronger physical attacks however. She casts Holy, Tornado and Meteor. The spell to be worried about is Great Attractor which does 7000-8000 damage to each character. Cast Meltdown and Aura and then use Limit Breaks. Ultimecia/Griever can also remove spells, like Griever could do also.

| Battle 4: Final Ultimecia |
HP: 250,000 (upper) +16,000 (lower)
Weakness: None
Draw: Holy, Flare, Apocalypse
The upper part of Ultimecia is the main part, with 250000+ HP. The lower part, which appears a little later on in the battle, has less HP, but also the most dangerous spell in the game, Apocalypse. Cast Meltdown and Aura on your characters, and then use Squall's Renzokuken. Ultimecia's main Spell, Hell's Judgement, brings every character down to 1 HP and she uses it every 3 or 4 turns and follows up with Ultima. She also casts Holy and Flare and can also remove spells. Once you have made a good dent in Final Ultimecia's HP, her lower half will appear and become a target. The upper, main part will then start to Draw and Cast the Ultimate Spell, Apocalypse, from the lower half, on you, which will result in around 7000-8500 HP being taken off your characters. Your characters can also draw Apocalypse from the lower half of Ultimecia and cast it on the upper half for good damage but Renzokuken is a safer option to use, as it deals more damage. Once Ultimecia starts speaking, she is almost finished. At this point you can now start using strong physical attacks on her. She tends to cast Hell's Judgement like mad during her speech. Congratulations, Ultimecia IS dead atlast! Final Fantasy VIII has been completed.......or has it?
